Shiveluch volcano (Kamchatka): eruption with huge ash cloud up to 27,000 ft altitude

On 28 May and 2 June, a strong eruption generated a dense grey ash plume, which reached approx. 27,000 ft (8,200 m) altitude.

The recently formed lava dome continues to grow with magma rising into it.
The alert level for the volcano is Orange.
