The effusive eruption of the volcano continues.
The advancing lava flow on the eastern flank continues to emerge from the cinder cone and is rapidly reaching the shoreline. The lava is currently about 310 meters from entering the sea.
Once the lava interacts with water, it does so explosively, forming abundant steam-gas emissions, so-called laze (lava haze).
