The effusive eruption of the volcano remains intense.
Glowing lava blocks continue to detach from the actively growing lava dome, located within the Crater 1 (south), and roll over the south-southwestern slopes, most of which reach the base of the dome area. Abundant gas and steam emissions (so-called degassing) continue to be released from the lava dome and rose about 50-50 meters above the Crater 1.
As seen in the attached satellite image acquired by the ESA on 28 May, the north Crater 2 is glowing simultaneously, meaning two craters out of five are active now.
