Fuego (Guatemala): (7 Sep) Heavy rainfalls continue to affect the volcano area resulting in mudflows (so-called lahars).
The reason for these flows is remobilization of loose volcanic material from recent eruptions to generate weak-to-moderate mudflows down along the Barranca Ceniza chute and Achíguate river which may in turn develop into dangerous lahars.
