During the past week the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory (HVO) recorded 74 small-magnitude earthquakes on the volcano’s summit and upper-elevation flanks. Most of these earthquakes occurred at shallow depths of less than 8 kilometers (~5 miles) below ground level. Fuego volcano (Guatemala): lava flow increases
INSIVUMEH observed that the lava flow in Barrancas Cenizas direction has increased in length, currently about 400 m long. Additionally recorded weak to moderate strombolian-type explosions at regular intervals of 6 to 8 per hour that generated a grey ash plume which reached approx. 14,763 ft-15,420 ft (4,500 m-4,700 m) altitude.
