Suwanosejima volcano (Ryukyu Islands, Japan): strong SO2 emissions

Explosive eruption of the volcano continues. Today at 10:21 local time Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recorded an explosion at the volcano that generated an ash plume, which rose approx. 4,593 ft (1,400 m) above the crater and drifted NE.
