Nishino-shima volcano (Volcano Islands, Japan): the highest ash plume since 2013

Effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at high levels. The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported that on 4 July satellite Himawari recorded an ash plume with large ash content that rose 27,230 ft (8,300 m) above the summit and drifted north.
