The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) recorded at the Minamidake summit crater 2 explosions that rose approx. 3,280 ft-4,265 ft (1,000 m-1,300 m) above the summit. The seismic station records 37 volcanic earthquakes and 3 tremors associated with the eruptions during the period 28 Feb-2 Mar 2020. Incandescence continues to be observed from the crater.
