Shishaldin volcano (Aleutian Islands, Alaska): explosive activitym, alert raised to ORANGE

A short-lived explosion occurred at the volcano yesterday and produced an ash cloud to 20,000 – 25,000 feet, which drifted to the W-NW, the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported.
