CENAPRED in cooperation with Guardia Nacional de México made reconnaissance flight over the summit crater of Popocatépetl volcano. During a flight specialists from CENAPRED and researchers from Instituto de Geofísica de la UNAM observed the formation of lava dome number 85 with diameter 210 m and 80 m thick.
