Ambae volcano (Vanuatu): ash-rich plumes continue

The elevated eruptive activity at the volcano continues.

The period of strong, near-frequent ash emissions has continued from Lake Voui. An abundant ash plume reached about 13,000 ft (4,000 m) altitude and drifted west on 7 March

The alert level for the volcano was raised to Level 3.
