Canlaon (Central Philippines): (22 Dec) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Tokyo (VAAC) issued the following report: ERUPTION AT 20251222/0805Z FL090 EXTD NW REPORTED OBS VA DTG:22/0810Z

Semeru (East Java, Indonesia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Darwin warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 15000 ft (4600 m) altitude or flight level 150 .
The full report is as follows: VA TO FL150 LAST REPORTED 22/1456Z MOV NE EST VA DTG:22/1640Z to 15000 ft (4600 m)

Popocatépetl (Central Mexico): A higher-than-average phase of activity at the volcano yesterday produced ash plumes that rose to approx. 20,000 ft (7 km) altitude. The overall activity at the volcano remains essentially unchanged as magma continues to rise slowly inside the volcano’s conduits and accumulates to build lava domes in its summit crater. Occasional stronger explosions typically destroy these domes from time to time, initialing a new cycles of growing another dome.
The Mexican National Center for Disaster Prevention (CENAPRED) detected 32 ash / steam emissions in total as well as 76 minutes of volcanic tremor during the latest 24 hour observation interval. Authorities are maintaining the alert level at Yellow, Phase 2, and are urging the public to remain vigilant, and not approach the volcano to less than 12 distance. The crater area itself should be considered extremely dangerous.
Popocatepétl’s current phase of activity has now been lasting more than 30 years, with fluctuating intensity since the volcano came back to life in 1994. Given it’s history of very violent explosive eruptions and the close proximity to major cities and densely inhabited areas, it is one of the most monitored volcanoes in the world and under constant vigilance.

Santiaguito (Guatemala): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 13000 ft (4000 m) altitude or flight level 130 .
The full report is as follows: LGT VA EMS to 13000 ft (4000 m)

Fuego (Guatemala): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 15000 ft (4600 m) altitude or flight level 150 .
The full report is as follows: FRQNT VA EM to 15000 ft (4600 m)

Puracé (Colombia): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 17000 ft (5200 m) altitude or flight level 170 .

Sangay (Ecuador): (22 Dec) Volcanic Ash Advisory Center Washington (VAAC) issued the following report: NO VA OBS

Reventador (Ecuador): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Washington warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 14000 ft (4300 m) altitude or flight level 140 .
The full report is as follows: ONGOING VA EMS to 14000 ft (4300 m)

Barren Island (Indian Ocean): The effusive eruption at the volcano continues. A new lava flow started to emerge from the northern flank vent. It currently advances towards the northern coast, likely covering the surfaces created by previous lava flows.
The lava flow that had earlier formed the new lava platform on the northern coastline seems to have stopped being active.
