The volcano remains very restless and has intermittent small to moderate explosive eruptions. An more energetic explosion occurred at the volcano yesterday early morning (at 05:53 local time) and sent incandescent material onto the upper flanks of the volcano. The event was accompanied by a long-period earthquake at 1.3 km depth beneath the crater.
