The Instituto Geofísico-Escuela Politécnica Nacional (IG-EPN) reported that the eruption continued at Sangay between 3 September 2025 (local) and 4 September 2025 (local). The alert level at Sangay remained at „2 – Yellow“ (on a 4-level scale). There were 69 seismically detected explosions reported. Incandescence from the crater was observed during the night on 3 September.

The Instituto Geofísico-Escuela Politécnica Nacional (IG-EPN) reported that the eruption continued at Reventador between 3 September 2025 (local) and 4 September 2025 (local). The alert level at Reventador remained at „3 – Orange“ (on a 4-level scale). There were 96 seismically detected explosions reported. Plumes rose to a maximum of 1,300 meters (4,265 feet) above the vent. There were observed incandescent rockfalls. Crater incandescence was observed during the night on 3 September.
