The effusive eruption at the site continues.
Fountaining is being active from two fissures now. The larger chain of vents is estimated to be about 2.4 km long. A smaller one opened west of Fagradalsfjall and its length is approx. 500 meters.
The fountain-fed lava streams ooze out towards two directions – east and west from both fissures, even though the eastern branch appears to be more active.

Meanwhile, the seismic activity has decreased early this morning.
