Kanlaon volcano (Philippines): occasional ash emissions continue

The explosive eruption at the volcano persists.

Short-lived ash emissions continued from the summit vent that started at 11:37 local time.
An ash plume rose 1200 meters above the crater and drifted south-southwest.

There is a 4 km exclusion zone around the main crater in place.

The alert status for the volcano remains at Level 3.
