Weakened Ruang volcano early this morning (image: PVMBG)
Following the strong paroxysm activity at the volcano recently, the activity diminished to minor-sized explosions.
Therefore, the alert level for the volcano has been lowered from Level IV (Awas) to Level III (Siaga).
Furthermore, the exclusion zone restricting access to the area has been reduced to 4 km from the main crater.
