New hazard map for the area near Grindavik valid from 22 December (image: IMO)
Since the eruption has been officially reported as ended, the hazard map for the region was updated, coming into effect at 16:00 local time yesterday.
Essentially, risk zones 5,6 (yellow), and 1 (orange) remain, but the danger in the highest risk zones (2,3,4) decreased by one level.
