Dukono volcano (Halmahera, Indonesia): vigorous explosions with ash-rich emissions go on

The powerful activity from the volcano persists.
The PVMBG’s surveillance cameras continue to monitor intense vulcanian-sized explosions from the crater. Another billowing thick grey ash column reached to 9,800 ft (3,000 m) altitude, expanding west-northwest this morning.

The volcano observatory reported a seismic signal with a maximum amplitude of 20 mm and a duration of 122.6 seconds.

In order to mitigate risk, people are advised to avoid the area within a radius of 2 km from the crater.
