Eldey (Reykjanes Ridge, Iceland): (15 Jul) The eruption continues with little changes. Magma supply is stable and arriving at the vent, from where most of it is diverted into a main lava channel that feeds the growing lava flow field to the south, where it has joined the lava from last year’s eruption.
At the vent, a cone is forming, both by accumulating spatter thrown out by small lava fountains and occasional overflows of lava that lay down sheet over sheet around the cone, making effectively a shield around its central and steeper part (see image).

Fagradalsfjall (Reykjanes Peninsula, Iceland): (15 Jul) The eruption continues with little changes.
