Shiveluch (Kamchatka): (4 Jul) On 29 June, a group of volcanologists from the local observatory did a field research to take gas samples and temperature measurements of fumaroles from the Karan dome area.
The team climbed up to nearly 1800 m altitude to survey ongoing strong steam-laden plumes that appeared 20 days after the massive eruption at the volcano on 11 April.

A new vigorous explosive phase started at the volcano today.
In the early morning, at about 03:16 local time, a tall and dense 5 km-high ash plume released from the summit crater that continued to dissipate towards the south and southeast of the volcano, the Geophysical Institute of Peru (IGP) reported.
