Maunaloa volcano update: decreased alert status to Green following calm period

The volcano has remained at calm stage since the effusive eruption ended on 13 December, 2022.

The number of earthquakes beneath the edifice has returned to background levels.
An inflation continues to be registered as magma refills the upper magma chamber.

Thus, the Hawaiian Volcano Observatory is lowering the Volcanic Alert Level to „Green“.
