Vulcanian and strombolian explosive activity continues from the summit crater and remains essentially unchanged.

The volcano is dominated by near-continuous moderate-to-strong, sometimes ash-rich explosions at regular intervals of 5 to 8 per hour.

Ash plume heights varied between 14,700 ft-15,700 ft (4,500 m-4,800 m) altitude and extended in range between 15 to 20 kilometers to the west, south and southwest of the volcano.

Much of the ejected incandescent material is being ejected to a few hundreds meters above the crater, causing weak to moderate glowing avalanches towards Ceniza and Santa Teresa and Honda chutes.
