Dieng (Central Java): An elevated seismic activity has occurred beneath the volcano since 9 January.
This may hint magma at depth that is able to pressurize and fracture rocks forming intrusions allowing it to rise further.

Lewotolo (Lesser Sunda Islands): (14 Jan) After almost three months with little or no activity, since the last eruption took place at Lewotolo, the volcano entered a renewed explosive phase defined by an eruption at 07:47 local time this morning.
A small white-to-grey plume spewed ash to estimated 6,000 ft (1,800 m) elevation and extended to the east of the volcano.
