Stromboli volcano (Eolian Islands, Italy): eruption continues with new lava flow today

The activity at the volcano continues at high levels over the past 24 hours.

Intense strombolian-type eruptions have been occurring from both North and Central-South craters, triggering a new lava overflow at 09:07 UTC onto the Sciara del Fuoco. The lava spill out has overlapped the previous one from yesterday.

A sporadic vigorous lava spattering is being visible from the NE crater, check online streaming.

Volcanic tremor has increased to medium-high levels as well.
Short-term electronic tilt monitoring installed on the Timpone Del Fuoco recorded a slight inflation.
