Stromboli (Eolian Islands, Italy): The trails leading to the viewpoints have been restored and excursions for individuals and groups to see the activity of the volcano can restart tomorrow (3 Sep 2022), Italian news reported.
Volcano hikes to see the famous volcano are one of the island’s primarily sources of income. Locals restored and partially reopened new paths in record time, after many of the trails had become impassable following the devastating mud flows that descended the mountain during heavy rains on 12 August this year (see previous post).
