On 14 August, the Loftmyndir, a company specializing in aerial photography, creation of maps and land models, took a flight over the eruption site to take new aerial images.
The main spatter cone seems to have already enclosed into a sizeable full-cone shaped edifice, producing constant small lava fountains feeding the lava flow running through the main lava channel towards the north.

Ta’u (United States, Samoan Islands): (16 Aug) A swarm of small earthquakes has been occurring in the Manuʻa islands of American Samoa.
Local residents and the National Park of American Samoa’s staff reported that the activity started on 26 July. Since 10 August, earthquakes have been felt by residents of Ofu and Olosega islands, as well. Several residents of Taʻū reported loud-booming noises in the night of 10 Aug. Witnesses reported that earthquakes vary in intensity characterized by sharp peaks.

Cerro Hudson (Southern Chile and Argentina): (16 Aug) The Servicio Nacional de Geología y Minería de Chile’s (SERNAGEOMIN) seismic network detected an earthquake on 14 August at 04:31 local time.
The quake was hybrid in origin, meaning that was associated with rock fracturing and fluid movements within the volcanic system.
