A moderately strong explosion occurred at the volcano briefly after midnight at 00:36 local time.
A small amount of ash, at the beginning of the eruption, turned into gradually increasing dense ash emissions to sustained and peaked up to about 00:55 local time. Emissions, drifting SW, showed signs of weakening since then.
The local seismic network registered 102 minutes of volcanic tremor.
