Ruapehu (North Island): (26 Apr) The elevated volcanic tremor remains in progress over the past five weeks and to recognize as the longest-lived tremor over the past 20 years.
The Crater Lake (Te Wai ā-moe) temperature has remained around 37 °C over the past three weeks. Even though the temperature has not increased yet, a large amount of energy (200-300 MW) is required to keep such a high lake temperature. The laboratory analyses of a lake sample collected on 15 April show no changes in Crater Lake water chemistry since 31 March.
