The effusive eruption of the volcano continues at elevated levels over the past 12 days.
Analyses of satellite images from 28 Feb and 11 Mar confirm a slightly increased effusion rate where a tongue of the lava flow has advanced by 65 ft (20 m) around the vent in all directions.
Most of lava flows were covered by snow over the past week except for the front of the lava flow lobes near the summit vent. The overflowed viscous lava continues to spill out onto the south, southwest and north slopes, keeping the flows active and slowly feeding the lava flow field.
Steep terrain in the area could trigger small debris avalanches as lava blocks may detach from the flow front
The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) detected moderately elevated surface temperatures related to the effusive activity.
