The lava flow has been traveling over the S-SW flank of Fuego volcano (image: INSIVUMEH)
A new lava flow at the volcano started to emerge from the summit vent.
A 150 m long lava flow on the S-SW slope continues to descend on the Ceniza gully. Collapsing parts of the flow front generated constant incandescent avalanches towards the Ceniza and Trinidad ravines.
The volcano continues to erupt near-continuous weak-to-moderate explosions at regular intervals of 5 to 7 per hour. Ash plumes reached approx. 15,400 ft (4,700 m) altitude and extended to the west and southwest of the volcano.
