Vulcanian activity continues from the summit crater and remains essentially unchanged.
The volcano continues to erupt near-continuous weak-to-moderate explosions at regular intervals of 8 to 12 per hour.
Ash plumes reached approx. 15,400 ft (4,700 m) altitude and extended to the west, southwest and northwest of the volcano. A spectacular explosion occurred at 22:49 yesterday showering the summit cone with glowing lava bombs.
Much of the ejected incandescent material is being ejected to an approx. height of 300 meters above the crater, causing weak to strong glowing avalanches towards Ceniza, Trinidad and Las Lajas ravines.
