An increased volcanic-seismic unrest has been detected by the Vanuatu Meteorology and Geohazards Department (VMGD) as they reported yesterday.
The elevated activity is dominated by steam and gas emissions rising 250 meters height and wet tephra ejected to an approximate height of 10 meters above the lake.
The Volcanic Alert Level remains at Level 1.
People are advised to avoid the summit area of about 2 km radius and area of flowing creeks during torrential rains as says Danger Zones Map.
