
A spectacular vulcanian explosion occurred from the volcano’s crater yesterday.
A huge dense dark ash plume rose 8,500 ft (2,500 m) above the summit and dispersed about 10 km towards the southeast direction.
The explosion was about a few times stronger than the average size of explosions at the volcano as can be seen in attached videos below by local observers in social media.
The explosive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate levels.
