Karymsky (Kamchatka): Explosive activity continues. Volcanic Ash Advisory Center (VAAC) Tokyo warned about a volcanic ash plume that rose up to estimated 9000 ft (2700 m) altitude or flight level 090 and is moving at 30 kts in E direction.

The intense explosive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate levels reported by the local observatory KVERT.
The activity is characterized by constant vulcanian-type explosions producing moderate ash emissions. Ash plumes reached 9,000 ft-10,000 ft (2,700 m-3,000 m) altitude and extended about 23 km to the southeast of the volcano.

The volcano continues to produce moderate, sometimes strong vulcanian-type eruptions accompanied by ash plumes with an average altitude of 10,000 ft-12,000 ft (3,048 m-3,600 m).

Pacaya (Guatemala): (5 Aug) A new eruptive phase started at the volcano at generally low levels yesterday.
After a 4 months calm period, the volcano produced three moderate explosions at 09:05, 13:40 and 14:21 local time. Eruptions were preceded by constant degassing from the summit vent. A plume of ash rose to an altitude of 11,500 ft (3,500 m) and extended about 12 km to the north of the volcano.
