Taal (Luzon, Philippines): (6 Jul) The activity of the volcano continues at elevated levels.
The volcano has been producing high levels of sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions from the Taal Main Crater during the past week. On 4 July the highest level of SO2 emissions ever was detected (see previous post).

Lewotolo (Lesser Sunda Islands): (6 Jul) The explosive activity of the volcano continues from the active crater with near-constant ash eruptions that reached 7,900 ft (2,400 m) altitude at 09:26 local time today and drifted NW.
Strombolian activity is well visible at night as glowing scoria is ejected several hundred meters above the crater.
