Phreatomagmatic activity continues to occur from the Taal Main Crater over the last few days.
Another series of bursts were observed at 10:25, 10:47 and 11:01 local time on 2 July characterized by short-lived dark ash plumes rising several 100 m above the summit.
Sulfur dioxide (SO2) emissions reached to a 10254 tonnes/day on 2 July and continue at above-average levels. Emitting gas and steam-laden plumes reached 9,900 ft (3,000 m) altitude and drifted N, NW and SW.
The Taal Volcano Network recorded 48 volcanic earthquakes and 4 minutes tremor during t24 hours between 2-3 July.
The volcanic smog (so-called vog) continues to occur in the Taal caldera.
