After almost 3 weeks, since the volcano observatory lowered Volcanic Alert Level to Yellow, the Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) reported that a low-level eruptive activity renewed at 09:45 local time yesterday.
Continuing low-level ash emissions reached 5,000 ft (1,500 m) altitude and were dispersed towards the south over Amchitka Island.
An elevated volcanic tremor (continuous shaking), that accompanied the event, continues at fluctuating intensity characterized by periods of high and low amplitudes.
