After raised the Aviation Color Code to „red“ on 16 April, The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) lowered it back to „orange“ again as an decrease of eruptive activity has been recorded over the past 24 hours.
Visibility of the eruptive phase was limited due to dense clouds, but a recent clearing suggests activity has declined and no significant ash plume was observed.
