The Alaska Volcano Observatory (AVO) detected a volcano-tectonic earthquake with magnitude approx M 4.3 in the vicinity of the volcano at 06:41 local time. The earthquake might be related with the ongoing seismic unrest as a response to a new eruption, however that is not a certainty.
A small earthquakes continue to occur near the volcano as is expected for earthquakes of this size.

The alert level of the volcano remains at yellow, as elevated volcanic gas emissions and surface temperatures were recorded.
