Reventador volcano (Ecuador): effusive-explosive activity remains unchanged

The effusive-explosive eruption of the volcano continues at moderate levels and its activity has remained essentially unchanged.

The explosive activity continues from the active crater with near-constant ash emissions that reached 15,000 ft-16,000 ft (4,600 m-4,900 m) altitude and drifted into W-SW direction. The activity is accompanied with glowing lava bombs, showering the summit cone, causing incandescent avalanches that continue to travel down the flanks of the volcano.

The lava flow on the northeast flank remains active.
