Raung volcano (East Java, Indonesia): near-constant summit explosions continue

The explosive eruption of the volcano continues and has remained essentially unchanged at moderate levels. The activity is characterized by near-constant explosions from the summit vent within the Ijen caldera complex.

An explosions at the volcano produced a dense ash plumes, which reached approx. 14,900 ft (4,500 m) altitude and drifted most often E direction.
Seismic station detected continuous tremor with amplitude of 1-13 mm.

The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the main crater.
