
Large amount of ash from Karymsky volcano from satellite (image: Sentinel 2)
The sporadic explosive activity of the volcano continues at moderate levels.
A moderate explosive eruptions were detected at about 20:54 local time yesterday that generated a dense dark ash plume (as can be seen in the satellite image) and reached approx. 23,000 ft (7,000 m) altitude. The plume containing large amount of ash extended about 60 km to the northwest of the volcano.
