The canyon at the eastern slope of the SE Crater following the recent major eruption (image: Etna Walk)
New, post-eruption images of the Southeast Crater have been revealed on social media.
Large parts of the eastern SE crater terrace facing the eastern flank are missing due to the recent collapse event that also created a deep canyon in the slope inside which the lava flow has been also.
