On February 1, 2025, at approximately 10:20 local time, the volcano erupted. Overcast skies obscured visibility, preventing direct observation of the event.
Seismic data indicates multiple surface disturbances throughout the day, potentially accompanied by ash emissions reaching up to 4,000 meters above sea level and/or avalanches.
At present, the seismic activity has significantly decreased.
