The explosive eruption at the volcano continues.
The frequency of explosions from the summit vent has increased, now occurring almost regularly at intervals of 3 to 6 times per day, with intensity rising over the past week. Near-constant vulcanian-sized eruptions continue to release ash emissions to estimated 2,100 m-2,600 m (6,900 ft-8,500 ft) elevation spreading to the west-southwest and northwest over the past few days.
