The plume of sulfur dioxide (SO2) from the recent eruption of the volcano extends over 1000 kilometers.
The Sentinel-5P observed the emissions of sulfur dioxide on 30 April as they drifted across a vast part of the Celebes Sea and the Borneo Island.
