Ebeko (Paramushir Island): (15 Mar) The explosive eruption at the volcano continues at moderate levels.
The volcano continues to produce minor, sometimes strong vulcanian-type eruptions accompanied by ash plumes with an average altitude of 10,000 ft (3,000 m) over the past week. The spewed ash has been spread to the east-northeast and northwest of the volcano during 1-6 March.
