Klyuchevskoy volcano (Kamchatka): eruption continues with lava flows from summit vent

Lava emits from the summit crater onto the southwestern Apakhonchich and Kozyrevsky chute (image: Sentinel-2)

The effusive-explosive eruption at the volcano continues at moderate levels.

Constant strombolian activity atop the summit continues with mild spattering and the lava flow.

Glowing lava spatter is constantly being ejected to approx. height of several dozen meters above the crater. Lava, overflowing the crater rim, continues to keep the flow active on the southwestern Apakhonchich and Kozyrevsky chute.
The current activity confirms the latest Sentinel-2 satellite image characterized by the ongoing thermal radiation.
