Fuego (Guatemala): The explosive eruption from the volcano persists.
Weak-to-moderate strombolian/vulcanian-sized explosions continue to take place from the summit vent at roughly regular intervals of 4 to 8 per hour. Eruptions released ash emissions to an elevation range between 4,400 m (14,400 ft) and 4,600 m (15,100 ft). Ash plumes extended about 15-30 km to the west-northwest of the volcano. Ash fall has been reported in the communities of San Pedro Yepocapa and Acatenango.
